Sarah Mussi

I’m Sarah Mussi, and I am a YA and children’s author. I started writing in the 1990s, But I was not successfully published until 2007 when my first book, The Door of no Return, was published by Hodder Children’s. It won a first book award, and was shortlisted for the Branford Boase. So I got off to a good start. Since then I have published nine novels for young people. My main genre is romantic political thrillers for young adults. However I am currently writing a trilogy for middle grades to tween readers called the Snowdonia Chronicles.
I love walking, reading and writing. I am an English teacher (day job). I also go into schools as a visiting author.
I love sharing ideas  with other authors. And my main accomplishments are Winner of the Glen Dimplex & Irish Writers’ Award for Best Children’s Book
Shortlisted for Branford Boase Award, Nominated for the Carnegie Medal. RIOT ~ Winner of the 2015 Lancashire Book Award. SIEGE –  WINNER OF THE CONTEMPORARY BBUKYA AWARD ~ shortlisted~ Oldham Book Award, Leeds, Catalyst Book Award and others.
